Emily at the front desk and Shelby at the rooftop bar were absolutely amazing for their customer service. Emily had all the details on parking, and made us feel incredibly welcome at check-in! Shelby invited us to take a seat when we thought we were just looking around and we ended up enjoying food and drinks and hanging out. She was exceptional!

We wanted something clean, safe and dog friendly and this was exactly the place. Phenomenal eating all within a 5 minute walk from breakfast to food trucks and dinner. And then the staff, beyond our expectations. From Andres at the front door to Mac that checked us in the other young man and even the Manager. All were extremely helpful, kind and professional while being very friendly.

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at The Hoxton Portland. From the moment my girlfriend and I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel truly welcome. This place did not feel like a hotel… it felt like home. A huge shoutout to Sam at the front desk… my goodness. She was absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning, she went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, comfortable, and welcomed. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail genuinely set the tone for our entire stay. Mercedes at the front desk was also fantastic… both of them made us feel valued and excited to be there. The valet team deserves major recognition as well. Don and Andrel were incredible… friendly, professional, and always helpful. They didn’t just park the car… they welcomed us, suggested great places to check out, and made everything smooth and stress free. That level of service does not go unnoticed. The hotel management team truly impressed me, especially Emely, the hotel manager. I had a bad incident at one of the restaurants located inside the hotel, something that could have easily ruined the experience. Emely stepped in immediately, handled the situation with professionalism and care, and went above and beyond to make things right. Because of how well it was handled by her and the hotel management team, I deleted a negative review I had previously posted. That says everything about their leadership and commitment to guests. We stayed on the 7th floor in room 707, and the vibe was perfect. The hotel has this classic, soulful feel that reminded me of an older hotel I once loved in San Francisco… stylish, warm, and full of character. The view, the atmosphere, everything just felt right. My girlfriend and I had an outstanding time and truly enjoyed every moment. Even after checkout, when I realized I had forgotten some personal items, Emely and Sam once again went above and beyond to help recover them. That level of care, follow through, and genuine concern for guests is rare. If you’re staying in downtown Portland, I recommend this hotel without hesitation. The service, the vibe, and the people make this place special. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a welcoming and memorable experience. We will absolutely be back.

The Hoxton is such a wonderful hotel! The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. Ed at the front desk was AWESOME and super kind & informative as we checked in and out. The restaurant, Pamana, on the first floor has the most delicious brunch menu- with a special shoutout to the delicious pancakes. Highly recommend The Hoxton for your next Portland stay :)

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It has a real sense of place, great, flattering lighting, and no white walls in the rooms! The staff was super friendly, even just in the elevator, and really made me feel truly welcome, like I was staying in a (low-key but very stylish) friend’s awesome guest room. They even pay attention to the special requests field in the reservation- I’d requested extra pillows, and the front desk clerk proactively brought it up that it had been seen and followed through with.

We stayed 3 nights for a granted wish for my kid to attend a lakers game. All staff was welcoming, accomodating and made us feel like celebrities. The rooftop taqueria was surprisingly good and had amazing views. The second night we were delighted with a private dinner at the apartment and Chef Adan made an exquisite combination of Mexican cuisine and American. First time a hotel hairdryer actually blows and dries the hair. Complimentary water, coffee and other drinks in the room. Walkable location to local shops and transit. Valet service conveniently reachable by phone, easy to tip. We would definitely be back!

overall, the stay was solid. the room was small but well furnished. good view of the street and buildings. room was very quiet. bathroom was clean, and shower worked well, plenty of hot water. ac unit was easy to use, and windows opened to allow for fresh air. the lobby is petite but nice. the main drawback is the location and neighborhood: it is close enough to lots of good things to do to use the city bikes or get an uber, but not a walkable area, as it is located in a neighborhood with many homeless-focused services, and therefore a high number of unhoused people, many of whom appear to be mentally unstable. while this isn’t necessarily a problem, it just doesn’t feel like the quality of the brand and room are worth it, given the location and lack of walkability and intensity and visibility of a critical need for access to more services and beds etc. while this, of course, goes well beyond anything the hotel can do, i won’t be returning given this aspect of where the hotel is situated.
